STYLON

Indroduction

Always ready to push the boundaries, especially when it comes to our own platform, we used our analytical eye to create a site that was visually engaging and also optimised for maximum performance. It also perfectly reflects the journey we’ve been through during these years. Let’s still consider it pretty much like a work in progress as we have yet to release plenty of case studies from product design to other digital campaigns, through more experiences, but we can now draw a line in the sand with this new milestone.

The Problem

Stylon's design of the website were outdated and did not meet the modern user's expectations. The website's aesthetics and user experience was hindering the company's ability to engage and retain customers, resulting in reduced traffic, lower conversion rates, and diminished brand perception. Therefore, the company needed to update its website design to improve user engagement, increase conversion rates, and enhance brand perception.

The Solution

The team quickly got to work and helped Stylon reimagine their brand perception. Some of the key practices we employed were

  • Website audit: We evaluated Stylon's existing website and identified areas that needed improvement. This involved analyzing the website's structure, content, usability, and performance by using Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMRush, and Screaming Frog.
  • Defining the target audience: We sat down with Stylon's marketing team to reassess their target audience and their preferences in terms of website design and UI. This helped ensure that the updated website caters to the needs and expectations of the company's customers.
  • Website UI plan: Based on the website audit and target audience analysis, DSGNRY developed a website UI plan. This included a comprehensive roadmap of the website redesign process, including wireframes, visual design mockups, and UI/UX specifications. Our team used Figma and Adobe XD to produce high fidelity mocks and prototypes for the client's website.
  • Frontend Development: The updated website had to be responsive, ensuring that it can be accessed and used effectively on all devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. The new website was built using the Bootstrap framework with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Website speed and performance: The website's loading speed and performance required optimization to reduce bounce rates and improve user engagement. This was achieved by optimizing images and videos, reducing page load times, and implementing caching and other performance-enhancing techniques. Our team uses GTmetrix, Google PageSpeed Insights, and Pingdom to provide insights on how every page on the website is performing.
  • Testing and launch: Once the redesign process was complete, DSGNRY thoroughly tested to ensure that the website met the required standards for usability, accessibility, and performance. The updated website was then launched, and we monitored its performance to make further tweaks and improvements as necessary.
